We want to hear what you think about the service we offer to vulnerable customers, and how it should be paid for. Currently we offer specialist services to customers in vulnerable circumstances, including those with health conditions, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
If they are signed up for our Priority Services register then they will get extra help in the case of an interruption to the local water supply, for example a delivery of bottled water. We also offer special tariffs for those on low incomes.
We are currently doing what we are required to do by our regulators, but there is more we could do to help that is not related to special tariffs. However this will cost money. Are you prepared to spend an extra £2 on your annual bill to subsidise extra services? This could include more specialist staff delivering a swifter response for those in need, which is more tailored to their circumstances. Or maybe you think it’s not a water company’s job to provide this service.
